When You Become a Shinja:

Environment

Shinsōhonbu of Ōyamanezunomikoto Shinji Kyōkai is located in Minami Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, in Japan. There are branch churches known as Hikari no Yakata located throughout Japan.
Shinji Kyōkai provides an environment that allows humanity to achieve an enjoyable life.
At Shinsōhonbu, there is a sacred place to worship called Shinjitsu no Michi Kaikan.
In addition, there are classes to learn the teachings based on Shinji (the direct word of Kami given to us through the Messenger).
The shinja (members of the church) are able to cultivate a kokoro of fulfillment within this environment.

Learn How to Live to Attain True Happiness

Kami teaches us through Shinji about how the life works and the right kokoro to live a fulfilling life.
The teachings can be learned through a variety of lectures. There are easy-to-understand lectures which include Kami’s basic teachings as well as ones that help us understand the direction in which society is heading and to learn how to deal with particular issues in our lives.
By learning the teachings, we are able to know what kind of kokoro we must have to lead a better life and begin to see what we need to do in order to improve ourselves.

Kigan and Practice What You Have Learned

Kigan helps us to practice the teachings in our day-to-day life. In addition to the basic morning and evening kigan that we do at home, speak our mind to Kami when we feel happy, sad, vulnerable, worried, or whenever we feel it’s necessary. This will help us from being overwhelmed by our circumstances. Thus, we will be able to put into practice the teachings and foster a strong, positive kokoro.

Use our Strength for Others and Live a Life of Worth with No Regrets

When we repeat the process of learning the teachings and kigan, our life begins to shine and take a turn for the better. We are able to use our own strength for people around us, live in an environment of mutual support and cooperation. Living each day filled with happiness and aspirations enables you to achieve a life of worth with no regrets.

Ceremonies Deepen the Ties between Family Members

Shinji Kyōkai provides ceremonies that are conducted based on the principles. They are carried out to commemorate and mark the important turning points in our life so that we may live under the protection of Kami.
Kami teaches us the importance of the family environment in the following Shinji;

The source of happiness is a family in harmony.

Attending these ceremonies will deepen our gratitude and appreciation for the life and the ties between family members.
