Through classes, books, and video streaming, you can learn how to live a fulfilling life based on the words of ŌyamanezunomikotoShinji. By knowing the correct way to live as a person, you will be able to see the distortions and gaps between your mind and what goes on around you in society. Not only will you be able to notice the cause of your worries and suffering, but you will also be able to figure out how to correct them. Since you have a guideline for living and a basis for making decisions, you can make choices with confidence in any situation. In addition, Shinji contains the power of Kami, so just reading them will calm your mind and stabilize your mind.

Once you have learned something and realized what you need to fix or what you want to become, offer kigan to Kami to seek help so that you can put the teachings into practice in your daily life. If you try to change your kokoro through your efforts, you will only end up having a hard time. By offering kigan to Ōyamanezunomikoto, the Kami of the kokoro, you will be sure to experience the miracle of a ‘changed kokoro’. And the number of situations in which you can put it into practice will gradually increase.

If you offer kigan to Kami in the morning and evening, which mark the turning points of the day, and speak your thoughts to Kami every time you are happy or sad, your kokoro will be protected, and you will not be overwhelmed by any situation. You will be able to control your kokoro that lacks the path and live positively and powerfully by making use of the teachings.
In addition to the kigan to Kami, it is also important to greet the hotoke (deceased people and ancestors) who wish happiness for their descendants, conveying that you are striving to improve your character. Also, to express your gratitude, and to deliver a sense of security to the hotoke.

If you study the teachings and apply them in your daily life while offering kigan, you will bring out the goodness (strength of unmei) that you were born with. You can experience the true purpose of life by leveraging your strengths to help society. If you build harmonious relationships with many people with a kokoro to love and support each other with the strength you have, the joy in your life will increase and expand in all directions.
The more you live with a kokoro to love, the more you will be loved, trusted, and needed by those around you. You can have a fulfilling life with no regrets.

“Learning Kami’s teachings, offering kigan, and living with a loving kokoro” is what we do as shinja.
