Shokuin, the staff members of Shinji Kyōkai are always devoted to make themselves
helpful for the happiness and prosperity of people. They will welcome you at Hikari no
Yakata, the branches located throughout Japan.
These are the managers of each Hikari no Yakata, with their wholehearted messages.
Dōji
Since my childhood, Shinji Kyōkai has always been so close to me, and I always thought of becoming a shokuin(staff member) of Kyōkai someday. As I finished school, I started working for my father’s company. But the company was closed just before I turned 40, which naturally led me to a path to become a shokuin as I had intended to for a long time. Since then, I have lived days filled with fulfillment. Having been born and raised in Hokkaido, I sincerely love my homeland. I can say that my will to serve this land and its people is stronger than anyone else. I do hope to share joys of living a happy life with everyone.

Kami teaches us the importance of getting involved with family members correctly. That teaching became my understanding during my late father’s struggles with his disease. My father who was taken care of, and our family members who took care of him―we both did what we could do for the family members each day. I felt our bond and trust deepened through mutual thoughtfulness, firmly connecting our Kokoro no Michi. Now I am determined to do my best so that all of you can build harmonious families and attain happiness that will surely be handed down in the family for generations to come.
Dōji
Ever since I was a child, I have been experiencing that things change for the better through learning and practicing Kami’s teachings with an open mind. Shinji that was revealed at the opening ceremony of Obihiro Hikari no Yakata said, “It is not the same as before. Kami will protect this land.” I strongly feel that we are in the era that everyone can be saved more than ever. That is why I want to do my best to support all of you to come to Hikari no Yakata as a family and experience the salvation.
Dōji
I used to work for a financial institution, which I had been always longing for, and I tried my best to make our customers smile. On the other hand, I felt sad to see a lot of families fighting over money matters. Then, I came to hope to devote myself to the work of propagating more essential principles of becoming happy such as the importance of having the right involvements with one's families. Hikari no Yakata is one of the environments that have fostered me. I will do whatever I can to let all of you experience the joy of salvation through this environment.

People of Miyagi have overcome an unprecedented predicament caused by the great earthquake. But they have overcome the disaster with Kami, and have made the effort to raise their kokoro. And today, they have reached the time of revitalization. I will do my best to make use of all my experiences so that all the people from Miyagi, which is also my birthplace, walk a life of kaiun; so that this sacred place (Hikari no Yakata) with drift of Kami’s purity will be filled with people’s smiles and hopes; so that the land of Miyagi will be filled with families in harmony.
Dōji
A child sentenced to life expectancy. A gentleman who has lived a selfish life and lost sight of the future. Things that humans can't do anything about can happen in anyone's life. However, there is always a way for us to overcome anything with hope, and for our hearts to be saved here at Shinji Kyōkai. "I want to be useful to all the shinja and to Kami," The accumulation of this kokoro has made me what I am today. I am determined to be of use to you to the best of my strength.
Dōji
As a student, I used to visit Hikarino Yakata, wanting to overcome human-relation problems. Impressed with the way the shokuin staff members and kakari volunteers served those who were visiting Hikari no Yakata, I got motivated to be of help to someone else, and came to think of becoming a shokuin myself. The last time I was working here in Fukushima Hikari no Yakata, we went through the 3.11 Great Earthquake. And after ten years of working for other Hikari no Yakata, now I am assigned to work here again. I am determined to do my best to serve you, together with my fellows, and to relay the love that has fostered me so warmly.
Dōji
I have believed in Kami since my childhood. When I grew up I got enrolled as a Shinja on my own initiative. This church has the principles that people of the world seek. I have seen many people who had not yet been enrolled as church members, impressed and deeply saying, “I was moved to tears with the wonderful teachings I found in the official website.” or “I believe these teachings will change lives.” I will do my best to let people in Akita know the values of this environment of Shinji Kyōkai where the mainstay of life can be gained.
Dōji
My dream of becoming a teacher specializing in Physical Education was cut short when I heard Tomomaruhime Sensei say that this Kyōkai is a School of Happiness. I was deeply moved and impressed by those words and decided to become a staff member and be part of it. It’s been 40 years since then, and I have spent each and every day of it moved and impressed by seeing how people are being saved. I have been here since the opening of this Hikari no Yakata. And the more I share time with everyone here who are so down-to-earth and so compassionate, my wish for everyone’s happiness becomes stronger. I want to do my best to make this come true.
Dōji
Life is finite. But, I learned from the teaching that our soul is infinite even after a life ends. Therefore, it brings attention to how important it is to hone our kokoro (soul) while we are given this life to live as a human being. I appreciate keenly the value of this environment that we can learn the deep principle of this world that cannot be missed. I would like to spread the circle of smile with people in Ibaraki so that everyone can live out their own life.
Dōji
I used to work as a foster care social worker and live with children 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. However, I experienced that human love, by itself, could not help the well-being of children, and realized that they needed to know the principles of life and touch the love of Kami. I was convinced that the environment of Shinji Kyōkai where they can learn the principles of life to attain true happiness was a must. If you live with the principles, you will attain happiness. I will be here for you to make it happen in your life.
Dōji
“I want to be happy.” Everyone has a strong desire and strives to improve their way of life with Kami ’s teachings. I want to tell people that at the end of your single-minded path, you will find great joy in “changing your kokoro and improving your life.” I will do my best to help each person live the life they deserve in Chiba, the hometown that raised me.
Dōji
Kami ’s presence has always been something we cherished as a family. Even when the family business was in crisis, it was only thanks to Kami that we were able to encourage each other and overcome it together as one. Naturally, I developed a spirit of “for others.” I want everyone in Tochigi to experience the power of family, which is the basis of one’s happiness. I will do our best to make Hikari no Yakata filled with smiles from the families who have been saved.
Dōji
“Please accept and support” these words from Tomomaruhime Sensei was what made me rouse to take actions, and do whatever I can to help. As a result, I saw many of my friends and acquaintances being saved. I experienced a true sense of joy and happiness inside, and that is when I became a staff member to fulfill my desire to want to do more to help people out. We are in an era where the means to reach kaiun is established. I would like to do my best so that every single person on this land of Ibaraki to achieve happiness.
Dōji
“I want to be helpful for others,” this thought emerged in my heart when I had an encounter with Tomomaruhime Sensei. I was touched and inspired by the love of Tomomaruhime Sensei, and I decided to become a Shokuin. The source of happiness is a family in harmony― I am here to help you deepen your tie with Kami to create harmony in your family.
Dōji
I became a shokuin as I'd had my heart purified and saved through Kami no Yakata so many times. Since then, I have witnessed a lot of people overcoming their worries and troubles. For instance, I have seen people, who used to suffer from disharmonious family relationships, have been saved so greatly they say they are proud of their families as they wear a smile. Each and every day I feel really happy to see the fact that when we live by the teachings, we will surely be saved. I promise you to do my best for you, who are living in Yamanashi, to grab the secret to improve your life, and attain happiness without fail.
Dōji
Kami’s teachings have been my emotional support since I was a student. I cherish the teaching; it is not what you do but with what kind of kokoro you do. Chuetsuoki earthquake happened in 2007 right before the opening of this Hikari no Yakata. Postponing the opening day was considered at first, but we decided to open without any delay because we went back to think what Chokushi would have said - she would have told us “Shinja needs this place to rise against the natural disaster.” Keep Kami’s love in our mind and walk the journey of life with the support of the teachings.
Dōji
"I am allowed to live." This is what I felt from the bottom of my heart when I survived my cardiac surgery, As Kami teaches us with the term "hōshi (to give back)", I am firmly determined to give back all that I have―my life and my strengths that I am blessed with thanks to many supports―for the sake of people's happiness. I am grateful that, for the first time in thirteen years, I have been assigned again to Nagano, where I started to work again after overcoming the surgery and was warmly welcomed and supported. I will repay all the kindness to the limit of my life.
Dōji
As I learned the importance of the state of kokoro and knew the working of the world at youth class at Shinji Kyōkai, the feeling “I want to be useful” sprout up in my mind and became a staff member of this Kyōkai. I have been in touch with so many people’s lives and have seen how they were saved from worries and sufferings. This is our only one life. I would like to support every one of you to feel the great sense of security living with Kami as you learn the teaching.
Dōji
After my father passed away when I was a child, I was raised by my mother, who supported our household all by herself. When I faced her passing, it was just because of Kami's love and teachings that I could overcome my immeasurable sense of loss. I could get myself back again, as I got motivated to extend and fulfill my unique strength to be of help to others. I am determined to strongly convey the worth of living with Kami, so that anyone can experience Kami's miracles and be saved as I did.

There are emotionally touching experiences and the joy of being able to nestle close with each and everyone at Hikari no Yakata. I’ve seen so many who have overcome their problems by learning and seeking answers in the teaching, or those who have practiced the teachings at home and began to learn the teachings as a family. And there is only gratitude and gratefulness to the effort and compassion of the Kyōkai community to realize that among our fellow members. To be proactive—I would like to offer myself to help and to be there for anything to spread the circle of happiness.
Dōji
I fought an invisible disease, and was saved by Kami. I have never forgot the pledge I made; “I will definitely give back to Kami ! ” This area has been struck by many natural disasters, but because we have Hikari no Yakata, we can live in a sense of security. I would like to tell people the worth of the place of salvation strongly, and protect and pass down this place to the next generation.

This Hikari no Yakata is where I came to learn, and to seek salvation numerous times when in time of a major illness. My worries and grievances were let go with kigan, and became a shokuin because I was saved from an incurable disease. And I have seen so many who have been saved like myself. My goal is to fill this land with harmonious families that Shinkon desires so that more and more people can be saved. And in doing so, I would study hard and execute my role as a shokuin.
Dōji
On the opening day of our Hikari no Yakata, I was in charge of welcoming a large number of people at the gate, hoping that everyone would become happy. Since then, my desire to contribute to people's happiness strengthened, which led me to become a church staff member. Now is the era when we can live with hope no matter what happens if we live by Kami's teachings, I am determined to do my best to ensure that everyone in Fukui can live out a life without regrets.
Dōji
I’ve always had a sense of insecurity and sadness in my kokoro. But Shinji was what wrapped my kokoro with such gentleness. The more the teachings are learned, you will start to see your shortcomings and what you need, and experience the salvation of the kokoro. This is the love of Kami, and this is the means to fundamentally change how you live your life. As you do this, even sufferings in your life become the treasure that colors your life. Let us walk our life with Kami and reach true happiness.

My mother, who always had to clench her teeth in life because she didn’t want to lose, met with Kami and started to have more smiles. Although our environment did not change, our kokoro was relieved. Although you may be in the midst of an unchangeable situation, there is a way to live differently. And that is why I want people to continue to live with hopes and dreams. This is my thoughts and reasons I am taking part to realizing salvation. Hoping that more and more families will enjoy conversations talking about their dreams, I would dedicate myself to walk along with you to bring more smiles among people.
Gūji
I became a shokuin as I felt I should never betray the love of Chokushi, and I wanted to be a shokuin like my parents who served for everyone. Facing and focusing on serious situations of people’s lives, my reason for living is to see people smile released from worries, and experience the pleasure of learning Kami’s teachings. As a person charmed by deep meaning of Kami’s teachings, I would like everyone to experience this joy of learning and a peace of mind.
Dōji
I faced a big problem in my 20s. My kokoro anchored as I strove to put Kami’s teaching into practice. And that is when I felt the existence and deep love of Kami. I would like you all to experience the sense of security that envelops you living with Kami, so I put my heart into days at Hikari no Yakata. I wish Hiroshima Hikari no Yakata will be filled with smiles of shinja who experienced salvation.

During my assignment in Tohoku region, we underwent the 3.11 Great Earthquake. It was "hope"―what Chokushi wished to give to everyone―that became the driving force for many behind the recovery of a devastating experience. No matter what happens, when you live with Ōyamanezunomikoto who gives hope, you will surely live out your days positively. I am determined to become a bridge between Kami and shinja so that everyone in my home town, Ehime region can experience this without fail.
Dōji
I had been a pessimistic thinking that “I cannot do it anyway….” Under such a situation, I began to learn the teachings since I wanted to change my kokoro, and I could experience the salvation of my kokoro. After that, I decided to become a shokuin since I wanted to be of use to everyone through what I can do. Kagawa Hikari no Yakata is a memorial place where I visit with my family when I was a child. Now, I feel gratitude that I could welcome everyone at that Kami no Yakata, and I want to be close to everyone’s life with strong kokoro.
Gūji
When I was worrying about what I should with my career path, my path to become a shokuin opened up as if something was guiding me. Kami gave me a place to live for me who have wished to be useful for people in need and have felt happiness making people smile. People at Saga region have passion to tell the existence of Kami wishing happiness of humanity. I would like to reset my kokoro along with reborn Saga Hikari no Yakata and work on salvation.
Dōji
Every time when I see people whose life are changed for the better through learning Shinji, I feel the deep love of Kami and the greatness of the power that Shinji have. I, myself, could get over my illness through reading Shinji—I was once told that I would not be able to continue to work. Shinji anchored my kokoro, and the kokoro improved my health. I strongly wish to make the best of my given life to people in Nagasaki with a sense of responsibility and love.

Working as nurse, I felt “Happiness of life is not determined by length of one’s lifetime.” “The way one has lived is shown when he or she meets the end.” In those days, I heard the words from Chokushi who said “if only we had a hospital”, and I became a shokuin hoping to be of use to Chokushi. As I was born and raised in Kumamoto, I owe what I am to this Hikari no Yakata. I would like everyone to feel happiness here.

After my grandmother passed away due to illness, I decided to become a doctor because I wanted to help people suffering from illness. I was moved when I encountered Kami and learned that there is a way to completely save our life, including from illness. I myself experienced a lot of miracles and decided to become a church staff member. Now I feel joy to see so many people being saved from suffering every day. This is my first visit to Kagoshima, and I will do my best to contribute to your happiness.
Dōji
As a kakari (contact person) of Shinji Kyōkai, I learned the joy is in being of use to people, not in money. Kami saved my life when I got into a serious traffic accident, I decided to become a shokuin in order to return the favor of Kami. Fukuoka Hikari no Yakata is a place for salvation where existing facilities were rebuilt into Hikari no Yakata through the donation by many people. I would like to repay the sincerity to each person. I would like to be of use to everyone so that they could walk the life without regrets. Please visit here with your family.

The very first commemorative event I experienced as a shokuin was the opening of Oita Hikari no Yakata. I remember I was moved to tears with the feeling “More people will be saved in Oita region.” Shinji Kyōkai is the environment where your kokoro changes and your life changes. I am sure that every experience including rough times in your life will be the food for the future. I will walk alongside you with the pledge I made when I became a shokuin, “I will cherish every moment and every encounter.”
Dōji
I had engaged in a work related to water and soil in order to support the food consumption. At that time, what I realized was the greatness of Kami, nature that is beyond human understanding. It is immeasurable how many people will be saved as the power of Kami dwells in this region. I believe that Kami entrusted the role of shokuin to me. I will spread the path to achieve happiness to my loving hometown telling “Everyone can live out their life without regrets if they live abiding by the way of life Kami shows.”
Dōji
I met a youth who faced the last day of his life in pain. “I want to make the world without a person like him.” With this mind, I changed my career from being a nurse practitioner to a shokuin. What surprised me as I became a shokuin was the fact that even with terminal cancer, shinja are achieving the last day of their life with calmness surrounded by warm family members. If you live with Kami’s teachings, you can live a life without regrets. I will do my best for people in Okinawa to live a fulfilling life without regrets.

As a Japanese descent born and raised in the US, my life has encountered many people from various cultures and backgrounds. Privileged with and supported by many friendships, my ties to both the US and Japan have grown immensely in my heart. I hope to be here for our members in North America as well as to introduce a life lived with principles shown by the true Kami. This is how I want to repay to all the love I have received in my life.
