Summary of the Shinji (December 2, 2020) from Kyōshu Seishisha Tomomarukō Sensei

December is the time of Aiju Onrei Shinja Sanpaiji when we look at our kokoro of Onrei at the end of this year. The time of Kōju Shinja Sanpaiji from September 23rd through November 15th is a time to express our kokoro of gratitude and giving back toward the protection of this year. We entrusted our thoughts to Onrei Gokigansyo and reported the kokoro of gratitude to Shinkon by attending Airei no Gi. On the other hand, December is a time to express our kokoro of gratitude that you cumulate every year as you live a long life. Therefore, let’s look back our life and deepen the kokoro of Onrei.

Regarding this Onrei, Kami reveals four Shinji in December, starting from Aiju Onrei Shinja Sanpaiji on the 1st, and followed by the 2nd, 15th and 23rd. The aim of Aiju Onreisai on December 1st is;

Having entrusted your kokoro (unmei-jittai) in the hands of Kami this year, this is a question to the kokoro of all (shinja)

“This is a question to the kokoro” means that Kami wants us to see ourselves very carefully how much we could foster our kokoro through walking a life every year. As we do so, we could surely connect our spiritual growth to the new year.
Now, today’s Shinji contains two realizations and a deep understanding. First paragraph is a realization.

This year as you learned the teachings and lived your life supported by the principles in the hands of Kami, how was your kokoro (life)?
The more a person (human beings) understands the teachings, the jittai is corrected, ties with people and things deepen, and each day is lived with enjoyment and filled with happiness.
But, a person (human beings) who believes that knowledge is absolute and lives by endeavor, will always create their own pain, suffering, and their confusion deepens.

First line at the beginning holds a tie to the meaning of Aiju Onreisai on December 1st. As you learned the teachings and strove to practice, and lived your life supported by the principles this year, Kami asks us how was your kokoro (life)? Do you live every day in harmony based on the principle of things? If you could practice in the daily life, you could gain the growth of your kokoro. Please look at yourself whether you could advance your kokoro steadily every year.

The more you realize the necessary things from the teachings and make them a part of you with kigan, your passed down personality, the jittai is corrected and the power of unmei will be brought out. You will be of use to society by making the best of your strength, and ties with people and things deepen, and each day is lived with enjoyment and filled with happiness. It is exactly a way of living of giving back. If the teachings become a part of you, you could live a life sought by surroundings and you will experience meaning and purpose in your life. Kami’s teachings are wisdom which enable to expand the fruitful human relationship and live a life without any regret.

Under Kami’s guidance what each person should be, how is your life when you look back? If you believe that knowledge is absolute and lives by endeavor, did everything go well? Human endeavor has a limit. If we live with endeavor beyond own parameters, we will always create their own pain, suffering, and their confusion deepens. However, if we return to the teachings and look at our kokoro again, we could realize our own shortcomings, bringing our kokoro back, and we could make a course correction to the right path.

In your life, various occurrences happen, and you will foster your kokoro as you experience various emotions. If there are teachings, you could foster your kokoro from the strong kokoro of Jiga that lives selfishly, to the kokoro of Higa that cares each other, and finally to the innocent kokoro of Muga that keeps open mind and is detached from things and events that you should not be swayed by. The more you foster the kokoro in this way, you will not be swept away by the jittai, and will surely become one with your unmei.

The next paragraph is also a realization. We need to realize what we should do specially.

To the Shinja
Understand well the truth that society revolves around the kokoro (unmei-jitttai) and do not make light of the teachings.
The kokoro of all people (human beings) who live supported by the teachings will be guided by their unmei, thus their life (kokoro) is filled with meaning and purpose.
The more a shinja deepens their learning of the teachings that Kami (Shinkon) has revealed to the world (society) through Shisha, their kokoro is honed, shines bright, and a life without confusion is lived.

Society revolves around the kokoro (unmei-jitttai) means the society revolves around the movement of each person’s kokoro. Some movement of kokoro will become one with unmei, others occur from the natural personality. Therefore, to achieve the correct movement of kokoro guided by unmei, it is necessary to live abiding by the teachings. That is why Kami asks us do not make light of the teachings.

Now, society is under at a turning point of the era, midst a drastic change. If you do not make the teachings a part of you, you will be confused by overflowed knowledge and will be swallowed by the flow. If there is a reality that “Some of my family members are not learning the teachings.” “My family denies Kami.” you need to practice the learnings more seriously and relate with your family with kigan.

If you live supported by the teachings of Kami, each family member will be guided by their umei, thus their life (kokoro) is filled with meaning and purpose. Through the teachings, you could find the workings of this world or miracle of unmei, and could understand the way of living without regrets, and could live within your parameter. Therefore, your strength is made the most of many people, you could live everyday filled with meaning and purpose. Although unmei given from Kami is different from each person, you are sure to be needed from the surroundings, and spend a life supported by many.

The more a shinja deepens their learning of the teachings that Kami has revealed to the world through Shisha, their unmei is honed, and shines bright. And you could live a life without confusion. Since the movement of your kokoro does not go beyond your parameters, you will not lose your way.

People have various worries; the discord between husband and wife, worries about personal relationship and so on. It is because they have an ideal image of the others and feel insufficiency or dissatisfaction. Since each person has a different unmei-jittai and character, it is important to be a person who strive to live in harmony by accepting strength and shortcomings of the others. Such a way of living enables you to live a life without worries.
Last paragraph is a deep understanding.

The month of Aiju is a time to reflect on the condition of your life.
It is the time to talk to Kami about the state of your kokoro and to know whether or not your life is in Kami’s hands.
Now is the time (month) to feel the protection of Kami (Shinkon).

Aiju Onrei Shinja Sanpaiji on every December is a time to reflect on the condition of your life. When you reflect calmly, Kami asks us whether or not your life is in Kami’s hands. When you look back the state of your kokoro, the movement of kokoro, do you feel the protection of Kami (Shinkon), and deepen the gratitude every year? The more you acquire the teachings, your way of understanding, feeling, thinking will be elevated and your life will change. Such person will not get emotional toward trivial things and not return tit for tat. People could establish themselves as a person who lives abiding by the teachings. They could always judge accurately; could withdraw if there is no need to be particular about.

In addition, it is not only the movement of kokoro that is guided correctly. The protection of Kami leads you to the salvation of the figure in the future. For example, if you lose something. People often take it as a bad luck. But it may open up a new opportunity; which then, can be taken as a good luck, and not a bad luck. The protection of Kami is beyond human imagination and limitations. Then we control our jittai and live a life one with our unmei, and the troubles will be gone.

If we are in the protection of Shinkon, the strength of each person, the power of unmei is made a full use of, and live a life without regrets no matter how unexpected occurrence happens. Let's feel the present time in the great love of Shinkon, deepen the gratitude, and elevate your life.
