The theme for Shinja Kokoro no Michi Benkyōkai in June is
“Unmei and harmony are important to the person who
moves with the flow.” Kami gives us detailed guidance about
a phrase from the Shinji for Kigansai: “the
person (human beings) who accepts the changes and goes with this flow will harmonize with this
mysterious power (unmei),” by revealing two Shinji on June 1st and
15th.
The Shinji for Shinja Kokoro no Michi Benkyōkai teaches us the figure of the current
society where each one of us lives. Society does not only indicate the politics or the economics but
the movement of the whole society. We should understand it and live with the flow. If Kami
says to wear thick layers of clothing since it will be cold, we should
follow—if not we will have a hard time overcoming the cold weather. Understand the movement of society
through Shinji and involve with each thing correctly.
When we reflect what we learned every month until June, we could see the flow. In January, we learned
“the world is now beginning to be aware of the existence (the
truth) of an invisible power (unmei).” An invisible power of unmei is
what we needed to be conscious about, and the fact that we are at the mercy of the power beyond human
knowledge, including the infectious disease. In February, we learned that “if you
understand the principles in the teachings Kami reveals, you will live a life where your kokoro
will not be consumed by the changes occurring in society.” Now is the time when
society is greatly changing, therefore, we will be swallowed by the flow if we live in a conventional
way. In March, we learned “the era continues to flow as harmony and change happen
repeatedly” until now and from now on too. If human beings go against the flow
of time, changes will happen naturally to bring us back to harmony. Therefore, we need to accept the
truth for what it is, and go with the flow. In April, we deepened understanding toward the power of
unmei that “humanity can neither suppress nor change this mysterious power
(unmei).” The unmei is the strength for us to live out our life
without regrets. To make the best of the unmei, we need to live abiding by the teachings.
And, what is essential here is a family—we learned about this in May. As Kami promoted that
“it is the time (era) to create a family with the kokoro that is one with the principles.” It is important for us to be determined to achieve the family
with harmony.
Then, in June, we will learn that “Unmei and harmony are important to the person who moves with the
flow”. To harmonize with unmei is to make your own
unmei one with other unmei: people, an era, etc. This will make our own life better.
The Quick Point of Summary of the Shinji on June 1, Shinja Kokoro no Michi Benkyōkai
Let me teach you the point of the Shinji.
An era is not created by human beings.
Human beings, society, and the environment move within a natural flow when the power
(unmei) of an era is at work.
An era is not moved by the politics, the economics, and human endeavor. In a world revolving around unmei, the power of an era is at work greatly and it determines the flow of society and our kokoro.
Gain awareness from the teachings and the more understanding about life deepens, the human kokoro anchors and there are no doubts.
The movement of an era and its changes are what human beings cannot take control of, therefore, what we need to do is to gain awareness from the teachings and make them a part of our own way of living. If we could do that, the movement of kokoro will be at ease and not lose our way.
Insights in life are not acquired through knowledge or endeavor, but are gained when our kokoro (unmei) becomes one with the unmei of an era.
Human beings analyze and research many kinds of things to gain insights about the future. However, we do not have the power to know everything. To expect our life correctly, we need to read and understand the movement of an era from Shinji. And when we live with the flow without going against it, we will have good results.
Based on the Shinji for June 1st, let’s learn Shinji for the 15th.
※A lecture from Kyōshu Seishisha Tomomarukō Sensei on Shinji for June 1st is recorded. You can watch the recorded lecture at Kami no Yakata or on webcast. You can access webcast from our email newsletters. Please learn them without missing.
Shinji
Realize that the truth of an era lies in its flow.
Reality constantly changes and does not endure.
Life is also allowed to live for a finite period of time (era) within an era, thus when
you move with the flow, your existence becomes increasingly joyous.
This is the human being who lives out a life without regrets.
To the Shinja
To correctly know the changes in society, you must live with the teachings as your
kokoro’s (life’s) support.
Since knowledge and experience are learned within the flow of an era and are a transient
worth experienced only in the present, they ultimately become useful when you move with the
flow.
The teachings that Kami reveals to the world (society) through Shisha are all
principles.
They draw out awareness and deep understanding to interpret your reality correctly and to
allow you to live and move with the flow of society.
The flow of an era is created by the unmei of the times to maintain constant harmony and
balance and is in the hands of Kami.
Now that you know this truth—this principle—gain a deeper understanding to live a life
that is one with your unmei.
This Shinji consists of two realizations, and an understanding. First paragraph is a realization.
Realize that the truth of an era lies in its flow.
Reality constantly changes and does not endure.
Life is also allowed to live for a finite period of time (era) within an era, thus when
you move with the flow, your existence becomes increasingly joyous.
This is the human being who lives out a life without regrets.
The truth of an era is equivalent to the unmei of an era. An era
always flows. We learn the history and although it is helpful, same events
will not be repeated. Same with the weather each year. There are certain differences in details even
though it is as hot as last year. That is the truth of an era. An era is
a flow and never stops for a moment.
Reality constantly changes. Each life walked with their own unmei
is allowed to live for a finite period of time (era) within an era that
never stops its flow. Therefore, each existence becomes joyous by moving with the
flow and striving to what is expected.
To live out a life without regrets, we need to live without postponing what
we should do as we keep in mind that our life is finite. Many kinds of things will be left behind if
we say “I’m tired.” or “It’s troublesome.” It is important to
progress things steadily. If we want to maintain our health, we need to care about our diet every day.
Family always talks with each other to share their thoughts. We could move with the flow when we do
what we need to do at each time within our parameters. That is the essence and the way of living that
we could live out a life without regrets.
The next paragraph is a second realization. It is what each one of us should realize as our own issue.
To know the changes in society, human beings strive in various ways such as
receiving school education or accessing the latest news. However, what you gain there may not always be correct and certain. To correctly know the changes in society,
we must live with the teachings as our kokoro’s (life’s)
support. There is an important reason why Kami says we “must
live” not “need to live.” It is absolutely necessary for us to live with the
teachings. Therefore, let’s live with the teachings as our kokoro’s support
without missing to learn Shinji at Shinja Kokoro no Michi Benkyōkai and Shinja
Kokoro no Moto Benkyōkai.
Knowledge and experience are greatly changed within the flow of
an era. There are a lot of cases that the historical fact we learned in the past was
revised and corrected later on. Or in other cases, what we thought was good for our health turned to
be incorrect according to the latest research. Knowledge and experience are learned within
the flow of an era and are a transient worth experienced only in the present.
Knowledge could be useful in some ways. However, it would be useless if an era changed because
knowledge is not a universal principle that stays unchanged over time.
The teachings that Kami reveals to the world (society) through Shisha are all
principles. Especially, Shinji that Kami reveals now is a natural
way of things that are useful and applies to everyone. These Shinji are different from the
ones that were shown in the era when the foundation of Shinji Kyōkai was in
building. To interpret your reality correctly and to allow you to live and move with the
flow of society, let’s gain realizations from the teachings and make them a
part of our way of living.
Last paragraph is a deep understanding.
The flow of an era is created by the unmei of the times to maintain constant harmony and
balance and is in the hands of Kami.
Now that you know this truth—this principle—gain a deeper understanding to live a life
that is one with your unmei.
The flow of an era is beyond humanity’s powers and strength. That is
because an era is created by the unmei of the times. The changes of the
seasons are symbolic cases. No matter how much human beings make full use of science and technology,
we cannot control seasonal changes. The unmei of the times is just the power
of nature, changes of nature in the hands of Kami.
Although human beings become proud, get excited, exceed their greed, and head toward wrong
direction, the unmei of the times work to maintain constant
harmony and balance to return to how it should be. This is what we really need to
understand. When we lack the harmony by asserting oneself or quarreling with others, the invisible
strength works towards harmony. That is to say, that we will be swallowed by the huge strength which
is beyond oneself. Therefore, we must not go beyond own parameters or lose our way.
When we see reality (what is happening now) through the teachings, principles, we can come to realize
various things like, “the things do not go well since it lacks of harmony.” We will
understand that we must remember to live within our parameters and cooperate with others. We need to
live in harmony keeping in mind the importance of living a life that is one with our unmei
given by Kami. Then, we could understand
“unmei and harmony are important to the person who moves with the flow.”
